The Limpsfield Club

The Limpsfield Club has 16 tennis courts, 6 squash courts, badminton, table tennis, and as of June 2021 it also became a Padel club with two Padel courts tucked in.

One source told us that the decision to install the courts was 7 years in the making, but these may have been worth waiting for as they aren’t just any padel courts, they are dressed in glorious Mondo Supercourt AstroTurf, which is the same as the World Padel Tour surface no less. Not a bad start hey?

Also add into the mix that the club already had a cool 1,500 tennis, squash and Racketball players and you have a thriving Padel club scene.

Limpsfield is a renowned squash club with a particularly strong Junior section with numerous age group national champions in the ranks, it also has an extremely good and active Racketball section  (I can barely bring myself to write Squash 57, but find out more about Racketball here https://www.englandsquash.com/get-involved/play/ways-to-play/squash57), so Padel is a natural fit here as both sports are easier to get started than their alma maters, and in many ways are easier on the body.

Do go to The Limpsfield Club for the day with various different types of rackets in hand to enjoy the marvellous facilities, don’t mention the fact that perhaps no one would notice if another tennis court or two made way for padel over time.

Who or what is a Bandeja? I hear you ask… Bandeja is the Spanish translation for the word ‘tray’.  I know confusing, right? Well, actually it’s not, you see in Padel terms Bandeja means a sliced volley. In Padel, a player's aim is to keep their opponent at the back of...
