Winchester Racquets Club

Winchester Racquets Club is one of the top clubs of its kind in the country. One of the most attractive things about this club is its versatility. Take a look at their tennis courts for example: four indoor hard courts, four artificial clay courts and five artificial grass courts prepare players for any surface they might find themselves on. They also have a great variety of activities on offer, ranging from squash through to croquet and bridge. They have added three padel courts to this impressive range, just by removing 2 of their 17 tennis courts towards the end of 2020.

If you’re interested specifically in Padel, or just want to try out a new sport, there are few places better than Winchester Racquets club to start you on your journey. Not only does it boast a high end set of facilities, but it has a well-established, vibrant Racquet sports culture like nowhere else.

As demonstrated by their dominance in the national squash scene, they care passionately about producing quality players, but they have a whole web of ladders and competitions to back this up, going right down to very beginners. It also has superb summer camps. With a skilled set of resident coaches, this club is a great place to be for players of any ability seeking to improve with assurance and speed.

The facilities at the nearby Winchester College include both fives and rackets courts, which has given rise to considerable local appetite for niche racket sports. As such, Padel is taking off quickly in Winchester. There has never been a better time or place to try out this most enjoyable of sports. You can find out more about Winchester Padel here:
