Chelmsford Padel United

Opened in February 2022, Chelmsford Padel club was originally conceived by the Go Padel UK team (see Padel United Maldon for context) and became the franchises 4th UK venue.

Two fantastic outdoor padel courts opened at the Great Baddow Recreation Ground in Chelmsford. Padel landed right in the centre of sports facilities including football, cricket, tennis and bowls and became the third padel centre for the franchise.

At the time Padel united acquired Go Padel the group made a statement that they wanted to be the number one padel provider in the world, as Padel United held 30 venues and over 250 courts mainly in Sweden and Finland, however an over-establishment of centres there has forced some to close, with post pandemic use of the facilities plunging.

Anyway, back to UK Padel and what can you expect at Chelmsford? Automated court booking with gate access and coaching several times a week, fun, fast, with lots of events and active people with big smiles. And lots of young padel talent, like Kai woodgate driving padel to new and younger audiences.
