Padel4all Basset Down

There’s going to be lots of first in our list of just 70 Padel clubs, and so Wiltshire’s first padel centre opened in September 2021.

Set against the backdrop of Wiltshire’s Chalk Downs, the 3 court covered centre has been established at the Basset Down golf course as it hopes to become a first class venue for the local and wider community.

Padel4 all padel centres are built to “connect communities, encourage participation in an active lifestyle and offer a positive playing experience” says the website and we believe them. You can get on their 3 covered and courts either as a casual player or as a member. Former Head coach and centre manager at Bassett Down Stephen Yeardley, has his finger on the pulse “it’s easy learn and super sociable”, and he was the secret weapon at Basset Down as a coach and operator with a revered history of working in sport and tennis within the Swindon area, he has been able to bring different parts of the community in their droves to the centre.

The programmes on offer at Bassett Down include social mix-ins, Community and schools outreach, box leagues and courses.

And of course footballers aren’t far behind, no not Messi, Klopp, Ibrahimovic or Beckham this time, but something great for the local area, Swindon Town FC, after they announced a partnership with Padel4All at the start of 2022. ….. Ole, ole, ole, ole Swindon! Swindon!
