FAQ’s

I’m thinking about joining, or getting started at padel what should I do?

We encourage potential members to book into a starter session with one of our coaches here or just bring down some friends to book a court to get a feel for it here Group coaching sessions and courts can be booked by anyone, so you can get a feel for whether Padel, or the club is for you without a big commitment. Please contact us at hgpadel@ukpadel.org if you have any questions

How do I book a court?

Our Court bookings platform is here

I do not know any other players. How do I arrange a game?

Our social sessions are a great way to start, and we regularly integrate new players of all standards into those. You can see the social sessions here, and then also filter the coaching sessions by day of the week with new member sessions in particular on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday morning. You can look at our weekly schedule online or download the UK PADEL app from the app store.

I do not have my own racket. Can I borrow one?

Absolutely, we know that Padel is so new in the UK that we have a selection of rackets and some balls for new players to use which are included in the booking fee for courts or social sessions and coaching.

I would love to have some lessons. How do I do that?

Have a look at the coaching section of the website to see our available courses. And then we are generally able to accommodate private lessons Mondays/ Wednesdays and Fridays.

Can guests come to the club?

Members are very welcome to bring their guests to the club and similarly visitor players are very welcome to come and play at the club, and can book their own courts 6 days in advance while members can book 28 days in advance .

Can Children play?

Absolutely, this is a great game for children and even young children as the service is underarm and there is less technique required to get started. As the court is 25% smaller than a tennis court and also enclosed with walls, there are lots of opportunities to keep the rallies going. All of our sessions are 50% less for children – group coaching and court bookings – let’s get children exercising playing padel!
